Epsilon Engineering have helped customers tackle larger scale safety issues by converting existing ‘open access’ working systems to safe working systems using machine safety fencing and light guard and scanner safety systems. Where possible Epsilon will configure and supply standard machine guarding, fencing and access ways to provide the customer with the most cost effective solution. Where standard parts are unavailable and for harsher environments (for instance where there is heavy forklift traffic) we will design and fabricate bespoke and heavy duty guarding.
Process requirements are studied and a solution to provide safe working practises respecting operator access is found. In this case a combination of fixed and interlocked guarding using Castell door locks, special maintenance access locks for setting and light guards for quick operator access during process intervention.
